This summer, the deer that usually stay on my neighbor's property moved down to mine because he did not water his lawn because of the drought. They ate every deer resistant plant I had out there.

I usually chase them off as soon as I see them because I want them to think of my place as hostile territory.

Since I've got all of Mrs. J's roses fenced, I don't mind a deer raid now and then, but this summer I had way too many deer. My tiny lawn was green because I had to water the maple tree.
