Thank you for your comments. As I explained on another post; most people miss this plant in a nursery or garden center. Its green spring and summer leaves do not really stand out. Its Autumnal colours do, but are surpassed when you see it against maples and other trees/shrubs. However when most things are dormant, this amazing shrub/tree comes alive. It fills everywhere with its scent and the colour. of its flowers. Yes I am aware it is slow to moderate in its growth rate and to some that may be a problem. But it is worth waiting for. Living in the northern hemisphere, the winters are long and dark, to say the least.
So any plant that can provide flowers, scent and so much admiration is worth having. Another great one that is so missed is Viburnum × bodnantense 'Dawn' . This wonderful plant with its red buds and pink highly scented flowers, can flower right through our winter. A totally wonderful plant. Plus it is very easy to grow and most forgiving.
I do hope you have a most Happy Christmas and a great New year.
My most kindest Regards, from a rather cold England.
Neil.
