The Heat Dish I also got at Costco is radiating type heat. It runs on 1000 watts, but just as efficient as 1500 watts. So the box says. Shrug! I just like it in combination with my 24/7 circulating fan. No sense having heat blowing around with the fan. I count on the heat to slowly rise from the ground and the fan to help circulate it. I know if it got tipped over in the greenhouse it will go off. But yes, the buzzer is pretty loud.

Aren't you glad you have your DD's greenhouse this year, Sandy? I am grateful for the hard work put into building the greenhouse as I am far less worried about my precious plants this year. They are blooming as if winter never happened. I am sure they will slow down after this week.

Was nice, in the 60's today and sunny. A perfect day to prepare for a cold snap. I just got through watering stuff thoroughly outside and even gave the ruellia a dose of water hoping to insulate them. They are so big and lush and just now recovering from the last big freeze. I hate to lose my border of them. We have our first Hard Freeze coming tonight, staying below freezing for 9-12 hours. We are on the cut off border so it could be 9 or it could be 12 hours. Either way. It's going to be both windy and cold beginning tonight. The tender plants might eat it. But they are well-watered and covered anyway to protect the roots. I have boxes over my Ti Plants. IDK what I was thinking when I put them into the ground?? Our frigid winters are rare, yes, but when it hits like this, it is a great loss to me. I truly need to live in the Tropics to be totally relaxed year 'round. Thumbs up
