Plastic or fiberglass . We have no room to store ceramic over winter so containers stay where they are. I have 2 ceramic containers on the sheltered front porch where snow cant pile onto them.
The rest of my containers are some sort of man made material. I buy nice ones from Big Lots or The Christmas Tree Shop.
