Joyfulirisus, I have an iris question for you. Never had this happen and I've had iris in my garden all my gardening life. Last year here in zone 7b we had a bitter cold winter and I lost a lot of plants I'd had for a long time. Several were iris. The rhizomes remained firm, but never put up growth. I left them, not sure if I should take them up. & reset or just leave them in hopes they were just slow putting up from the hares cold as several things here were. Bu fall I gave up and decided to reset the still firm but growth free rhizomes. I dug them up and they were full of tiny holes on the undersides. I've never had this. What is it? What can I do? Will it spread? Thanks. Donna King.
