well folks, 6 weeks have passed since I potted up my Japanese iris seedlings into 2 inch square pots--see above picture posted on Jan 13/2015.The seedlings have taken off and some are sending out new fans from the base, really pleased with these as they are my first attempts to breed and grow on to flower.

One question--I want to keep the seedlings in pots till they flower, can someone suggest the right size pot for them at first flowering. Some may flower next year, if I'm lucky, all should flower by the following year.

Mary-ann, the 500 siberian seedlings are doing well in the ground, planted out same time as the JI'S to pots. One row has a few spaces, plants lost to a hot spell and soil probably died out a tad.
