All of the south has had unusually cold weather this and last year. Heck, we got down into the mid-teens in November, and that's unheard of in the deep south. But compared to the northern tier of states and of course parts of Canada, our cold temperatures are pretty much "mild". Mary, who lives in Anchorage, has told me several times that it is colder in Mississippi than in Anchorage. Go figure.
