It is hitting Mississippi right now. Oddly enough, this (hopefully last) system might be historical.
My wife was listening to talk-radio this morning and the host was interviewing a meteorologist, someone who had been in this field for 50 some odd years. He said in his memory there had never been a 12 hour period that the temperature dropped 50 degrees F in Mississippi (now they say it will drop 52 degrees). We got up to 80F this afternoon and at day break tomorrow it is supposed to be 28F, with a wind-chill in the mid-teens. The next morning we are supposed to get down into the teens. I don't even want to thank about the wind-chill that morning.
