When I first walked in the door, I looked for the five orchids I had dropped off yesterday for judging. I soon saw that I had won three ribbons, one each of first, second and third place. The big surprise was which one won the blue ribbon. Here they are in order:

So the huge Den. spectabile gets a second place ribbon and I thought it would win blue in a walk. C. skinneri and the big Ctt. Eva, both heavy with blooms, won nothing and the blue ribbon went to Rth. Carolina Golden D'Or which I just entered for grins. Go figure. Anyway, enter 5 orchids and win three ribbons isn't too shabby.

The C. Martin Wolfe and the Zygo Rhein Harlequin just blew me away but I couldn't find them to buy. I intend to keep looking. It was a fun day and it is nice to share with you all.
