There is a way to get some tubes for free. Certain alcoholic drinks come in tubes. [You can use keywords 'alcoholic drinks in tubes' to see them.] One type is called Test-Tube Shots. Get to know your local bartender and see if you get the used tubes to re-purpose them. Sometimes they come with a stand.
