I looked at them again and found that shipping on 1/2 pound of seed to be only $3.50 so I don't know what happened the last time. Maybe I didn't see USPS and picked UPS or maybe it was because of the 25# of buckwheat I had included. 
At any rate I'm ordering the Borage and Lacy Phacelia through them now.
