I just came in from a CLOSE inspection of my beds, and thought I would start a thread concerning the ones we have "lost" ! Thought being, maybe some ATP member knows of a good source (or IS a good source Sticking tongue out !) for them.....some are "common as dirt", and some...not so much !
Sapphire Jewel (I actually "lost" this one last season...but I was ever hopeful it might surprise me !)
Crimson King (this one has been 'iffy" ever since I got it...it's not "iffy" anymore Thumbs down )
Black Magic (had it 3 years, 1st bloom was last year, and now I guess I have to say that it was the LAST bloom ,as well!
Gajus (newly planted last year....VERY late...not surprised it didn't "Take")
Cedar Waxwing(another newly planted, late in the season...so, no big surprise here, either)
Treasure Island (new last year, there *might* be a little hope yet for this one Group hug )
Campfire Glow (new last year, but a surprise...nice size, and planted" at the right time")
Star Shine (new last year to replace one that died LAST year, which replaced one that died the year before....I'm just a slow learner, I guess! *Blush* )
Gold Ruffles 3 year old plant, but never bloomed, and always seemed "Sickly")
Tabasco ( can't figure this one out ..nice size plant, but developed a "rot" issue last year after bloom time........thought it might make it, but thought wrong, I guess Confused )
Cheyenne Sunset (another that had rot issues last year)
Little Blackfoot (new last year)
Shadow warrior (new last year)
Shinning Waters ( 3 year old plant, but, again, rot issues last season)
kharput (new last year, and it was HUGE rhizome, that seemed to really "take off" Confused )
Camelaird (2 year old plant, but had rot issues last season)

I shouldn't cry to loud , as these only amount to a little over 2% of my iris , so, I guess that's not TOO bad!

So, what have YOU lost over the winter ?
