My butterfly bush is a "Black Knight"... I've had it for about 6 years and so far not a single leaf out of place and when it was "healthy", it sure did attract the butterflies, bees and even saw a few hummingbird moths. Never saw a hummingbird at it but that's not to say they didn't use it. Gonna try to dig it up, check it out and see if I can save it. If not, I think I want to put the new "mini" bushes it a couple of places. Would be easier to take care of since they don't get as wild and wooly!!!

stone... I've not hear of "vitex" before...I looked it up and it does look like a very attractive plant!! Will definitely give it a consideration.

Greene....my original plan was to put garden fabric down and cover with gravel etc. Then she got "snippy" about the stuff plowing through and I figured "It's her foot..let her figure it out" ... kinda peddy but that's how it was....

My yard is soooooo wet and muddy right now from melting snow and rain it's going to be hard to do any work. Time will tell....
I hate losing plants....I know they are "just plants" but when you nurse them along and baby them and get them to grow, bloom, and be pretty and they die....it's like losing a friend..... Crying
