Aww, I do recall how very thrilling the first crocus and snowdrops are. My Mum used to be just in raptures when they appeared.

I have a couple of 'heralds of spring' too. Caladium 'Scarlett O'Hara' making an unexpected appearance already, and my nice Amaryllis 'Bogota' at least a week ahead of it's sister. Looking just a bit the worse for wear as it had been knocked over while I was out yachting.
