I grew heuchera from seed one year and was very successful. You can buy seed or save seed from your own heuchera. I saved seed from a bunch of my heuchera and grew a nice variety as you can see in the link that Chelle posted. They are very easy, I started in the greenhouse in about February but I'm sure with a bright warm location you could do this in the house or winter sow. They are slow growing but you could get nice plants by late summer. I planted the seed in a nursery tray with about 2-3 inches of seed soil, sprinkled them over the top(they are very small seeds), covered with a clear plastic dome. Takes about 2 weeks or less for germination. When they a 2 or three leave I transplant into 4 inch containers. Hope you have some luck with this.
