it looks like a native american wisteria Wisteria frutescens. the blooms are sort of cone shaped, denser then chinese wisteria.
it is not invasive (or perhaps not AS invasive in FL?), or at least can be kept in bounds, if pruned.
the blooms comeout after it leafs out, so later then chinese/japanese.
