My only experience with propagating ZZ plants is through division. My wife's mother plant got root bound a couple of years ago and I divided it into six plants. There were several pieces that I put in one pot and it did survive. Mainly keep the pots moist until it gets rooted, then fertilize with a slow release fertilizer, I use Osmocote.

I kept them on my back porch out of direct sunlight and watered once a week.
