It's ironic -- while some of my Irises are just giving up and rotting in the face of unending rain and chilly weather, others are very busy putting on a show.

Here is Clarence -- first bloom of the season:

Does anyone besides me think Clarence is an odd Iris? The color is intriguing, but it always seems to have a wonky form. I didn't buy it on purpose -- bought a packaged Iris at Lowes, many years ago -- it was supposed to be Mother Earth...........

Tom -- I took a bunch of pictures of your seedling last evening. It was a gorgeous color in the twilight. I couldn't quite capture it -- I couldn't seem to turn off the flash on the dang camera. But it sure was beautiful:
