While taking pictures this morning in my Hosta Glade, I was struck by an interesting combination which I had not planned at the time these hostas were planted!
'Margey' is the lush clump and you can see a tiny bit of 'Masquerade' on the right. Shows up if you click on the picture and enlarge it. I do have a nice clump of 'Masquerade' in my mini hosta bed, but I wonder how long these little fragments will hold on to life!
'Nesmith Giant' (not yet reached its full size) and the same clump of 'Margey' from the top photo. So you can see that she is really a small hosta, although she looked like a giant next to 'Masquerade'! The Hostapedia (by Mark Zilis) says 'Margey' is a rare plant... hard to believe since she is so vigorous, a fast increaser! I don't dare put her in my mini bed because she would out-grow her space!
