Just wondering why there is not a listing for ploidy in the Iris Database? I know it is included in the Daylily listings. I was adding Irises to my Flower 2013 software and noticed there is a ploidy menu there.

The subject of ploidy came up when the Iris Database was being revamped a couple of years ago. I don't remember exactly how the discussion went, but I suspect we didn't include a field for ploidy because it's something that is rarely included in AIS registrations. Most of the fields in the database mirror information from the registry. Additional fields were only included if we thought they would greatly enhance the search utility of the database.
