Curiosity got the better of me and I am glad it did. Seems the seal wasn't tight and it got wet inside the hole in the trunk from our recent flooding rains. I cleaned it our and dried it out with Q-Tips and found 3-4 tiny white worms. If they were infant maggots then I am glad I got it cleaned out. The hole did seem little deeper. I poured hydrogen peroxide into it and let it bubble up some. Then covered it again with new foil sandwiched between Saran Wrap this time, not Stretch and Seal. I am not sure how the moisture got up underneath there but I tightened the rubber band over the Saran an extra rotation. I hope I worry all for naught. But I hope I am active with it to keep it rot free.
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh
uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
