Wolfgang, thank you so much for posting this wonderful information & photos. I have made it into it's own thread 'Volkmar Schara and his sempervivum'.
Lets put all we know about this amazing sempervivum hybridizer into this thread. No going off topic. This thread is strictly to post information about Volkmar Schara and his sempervivum.
We have 59 sempervivum in our database that are creations of Volkmar Schara. To see them go to the sempervivum database and do a 'Search by characteristics (height, bloom color, etc)'. Just type his name in the hybridizer box, and away you go.
