Ann, that sounds like a really good plan. I should do that too. I could still be awake when the daylilies open, so I could dab some pollen before going to bed!
Margaret, I thought that you would also have frost at the end of June like my Dad almost always has. July was pushing it, but it is sort of normal for him. He can't keep tomatoes outside because of the weather, so he has to grow all of them in the greenhouse. He's lost way too many plants due to frost during summer. That is why he never grows any tender annuals. They just won't survive.
