Since the worst winter since Records began in the UK, I admit to getting very concerned about my tree ferns for they have never suffered such prolonged low temperatures as that!
I have taken some pictures not long ago this morning and to my utter surprise they are now standing more upright than they were after being flattened with snow and ice.
Here they are with some words from me.

These fronds were frozen inside the water pump for a ling tome, now look at them.

These tree ferns or Dicksonia antarctica are only supposed to be hardy to 28 F and at 24 F lose there fronds. As it got down to 15.5 F in some places on some nights and lower in other areas they have amazed me.
