It's worth a shot! I'm not sure that it works that way, but I would give it a try! It would be really interesting to have a deep colored daylily in the morning, and have it turn white in the afternoon! I actually love some of mine at the end of the day, when they are sunburned and drained of the color that they had when they opened. Kind of gives the garden a totally different look. Not all of them look good at all by the end of a hot day, but others change just enough to where I really love them in all of their faded glory!
