I purchased Luffa seeds 2 years ago and had good success. The seed packet labeled these seeds as Lagenaria siceraria. Although these can be harvested and eaten when small, I prefer to let them grow and harvest for scrubbers. The vine grows well in south Louisiana, I have it planted on my south facing fence where it gets full sun all day. My primary pollinators are bumblebees. Each gourd provides lots of seeds for next years planting.
