Vickie, it's true that the seedlings usually come back with quite a bit of variability to them and that's definitely part of the fun for me.

I started seeds of 'Ebony Flame' and only about 10% came back with black leaves. They all look very different from each other and I'm looking forward to seeing how different they all turn out to be when they bloom.
