I prune back the growth to the trellis before bringing the pot inside. Amethyst has been forgiving of my lack of knowledge in growing passies. This fall I will probably have to extract the root ball and transfer it to a smaller pot for overwintering. I keep it growing at a reduced rate under artificial lighting in the garage, along with the fat root morning glories and brugmansia plants.
