Beautiful Edgings is a diploid and sets seeds easily. I think it is a very good parent choice. I have very nice bloomed seedlings crossed with Heavenly Pink Butterfly, String Streamer, and Heavenly Angel Ice. I am growing Beautiful Edging seedlings crossed with about 20 diploids both registered cultivars and my own seedlings. My BE seedlings are most all taller than BE and several have very strong scapes and good branching and bud counts, plus pretty flowers. I posted some pics in the June seedling forum. Welcome to your daughter and trying her hand at crossing DL's. Good chance she can get nice seedlings from BE.
