Hi David,

I will add these pictures illustrating techniques for cross-pollinating zinnias. For an artists brush, you can "load" the brush by touching it to the center of a newly opened pollen floret.

Then, you simply touch the loaded brush to several stigmas on the zinnia you chose to be the female in the cross.

In another message, I will show pictures of using forceps to pick a pollen floret and then using it as a brush to apply pollen in another message, since there seems to be a problem for me to upload another picture at the present time.
