I can't spell it... I always see them called crested, which to me means monstous, I don't think that's accurate but something strange is going on with them!
Ive never grown these, seems to like it a bit dry until it's going, I'm find a lot of aroids can be that way... Hopefully it sizes up and can handle more water and grow faster!
These are truly bizarre!
Regal shield, I had to extract this plant from the same pot as that lutea, regal was growing too fast... I thought it was slowing the lutea, I was carful as could be clearly disturbed them both, the regal had 4 leaves when I pulled it em apart, the oldest smallest leaf faded fast, 2 weeks later it happened again, no new growth so she's down to 2 leaves and not close to a new roller spiking... Sigh... I think I'll let it dry out to see if that helps...

Midori sour, the stems are nice and streaked and have red at the top, impressive growers and sun resistant
Good color, sort of the opposite of mojito.
I wish black marble was still readily available, they compliment this group but I guess grow too slow.
A. Sarian I love this guy! I've always had trouble with alocasia that are touchy about water and want to dry out a bit... Dawned on me that I use clay pots for that reason all the time!
This is actually my biggest ee for now, it's grown like nuts but violet stems about to take it over.
They look so good, now who's gunna go hunt down the other forms they seem to have in Asia!

When white lava gets up to size and it's happy, it is a nice carefree plant, I think it's better suited for more southern growers.

Yellow splash and A. Poly
Ok so here's my venosoms! At least some of them... I need some pure Indian giant, I definitely have some true common form, which are great, I've had the same genes for 10 years, but a few years back I apparently got some hybrids of common form and IG, Very few of the hybrids are identical, I traded a few off before I realized what I had. Sadly none of them have the emtremly wide leaf blades of true IG, but some are much wider than common form... A lot of the seedling still haven't really taken off and get scattered in the garden, more mature each year but they go down early and are hard to find come late fall
Notice the different leaf shapes sizes and petiole markings... I'll make a post just for them if I can get enough pics to turn out.
I makes me want to cross more sauromatums!
This is the non tc yellow splash, OG clones ;) sporting a gorgeous new leaf... And a scorched old leaf... I think it's new spot might work...it seems like once they get burned a little, the rest of the yellow continues to die even if it takes days and you put the plant in shade.
This should be black coral... We shall see! I like the young leaves with matte edging glossy.
A. Quilted dream, I've seen it listed as sinuata and guttata... I really don't know and I'm a bit amazed it made the winter, it's mighty small, and slow, I think I need to keep it alive in winter so it might actually grow...

One of my supposed Okinawa silver, with some tiny amorphs, the big one I showed before looks good, not a speck of white! Just a weird dwarf green alocasia, the big ones trunking up but only has a 2' spread... Pretty weird...
Madeira, all those green leaves popped out in the last few days, a bit of sun and they'll look just as dark, I've found that the new stems emerge almost white then blush purple in sun, and easy identifier for a tricky plant!
A good grower though!

Here's that unknown dark colo, if it's kona coffee, I'd love to know where I got it, I wish I'd plopped in in the ground so it might be bigger and bloom, that'd help id it better.
It certainly has done brown to it, and really round leaves, it looks less like the 3 other "black coral" I have... I just want diamond head back!
Black beauty, these look great at this size but get so much bigger and therefore better! Most of the dark colo are purple, these are black! Really black! Coal miner can look a little more flashy up close, and illistris is just striped black, these are just black! I've had them push 4', planted in mass with a good light contrast plant up front they look killer!

Plants are already 5' with 2.5' leaves at least, and were 1' tall with 2-4 leaves when I dropped them in the ground about 2 months ago, I'm not feeding them like I was, the runners are only 3' or so but it's a bit early, when I fed tons of 11-55-11, they'd run like you wouldn't believe! The longest was 9' that year and it was still growing with no terminal bulb yet. I was told these are zone 9-10 hardy only but mine come back even tho it's very late and they stay soooo small since they're so far behind, and coming from tiny bulbs, but they've managed to persist for 3 winters now with white rocks for mulch! It's detrimental as insulating mulch but is excellent for summer growth!
Lemon lime gecko, these haven't done great for me either, this my biggest one, it's potted, the ones in ground surprisingly moved just as slow...
As usual, not sure the pics will really show it but these are my 2 clones of lime zinger, the top 2 pics are one, the bottom 2 are the other.
One has rather pointed lobes, and uniform, slightly brighter color.
The other has rounded lobes, just slightly less vibrant color, but there's a more regular green on the petioles, the green is really only on the bit of the petioles that flap open for the new roller. I'm sure to most it's a minute difference but I'll happily grow both since I can tell one from the next...
I'll try to update with pics more often but my phones screwy and says I'm out of space for pics... Adding captions to this many pics was harder than expected.
