Julia...I really don't think it's going to be fabulous..it will have to keep changing and will really have no true character until the trees get large. I can not plant it to have the right "Look"...I can only try to squeeze in everything I feel I have to have....
When we were moving, I gave away truckloads of plants and one of my friends had just divorced, sold the 6 acre property and bought a newly built house on a tiny lot...as something she would be able to maintain and as a good investment....and she was used to having a lot of land to work with....and I kept taking her loads of plants...and then I'd go see what she'd done with them...lol...I could hear myself keep saying, "You do know how large that is going to get, right?"
