I also think it's good advice to send you first to an orchid show, Karen, before you venture into a search for a fragrant orchid. You will get a good idea how very many orchids are available, and how many different perfumes they have. Nothing worse than buying a plant and then discovering you don't really like it's scent. Also, as Jim points out, get to know some growers in your area and what grows well with the light, humidity and temperature conditions you will have.

Here's a really fragrant one I have in bloom right now, it's commonly called "Lady of the Night" because it has no scent until it gets dark, but then, oh My! Second one is Prostheca Green Hornet which also has amazing scent, in fact it is so strong, I have to hang it 'way up in the top of my pool cage so it doesn't overwhelm all the other fragrances.
