Hey, Strever! How are you? You need to come and talk to us more often....I do have a pot of yellow crocosmia un-named that came from Rebecca's and I need to get them into the ground....I like the ones you have there.

Yes, on the orange crocosmias...then is that crocosmia x crocosmiiflora that I have here and am seeing everywhere? Yes, they're common and pulled and tossed a lot...I still like them. Maybe I mentioned earlier that when we went to the 'dump' last week, there was a whole pile that had been tossed and I grabbed them for my neighbor. I gave her a clump last year and she wanted more...convenient. I cannot stand the chasmanthes, but I do like these. Last year I thought I would pull the ones here by the house, but we're not working close to the hose there yet and they're still there and I 'm glad.....I will use them elsewhere when I do pull them.

I like acanthus mollis, but have not planted them...I was a bit concerned with the idea that they spread too aggresiviely and are then hard to remove..I pooh pooh'd that until there was a property here that I wanted and the acanthus had really taken over.

By the pic, I can see that you have some trees there and I remember the large one that fell across your house...wonderful...I have a small city lot now with no trees and the place is not going to please me at all until I get some trees grown.

You're farther inland a bit, right? Can you grow fuyu persimmons there by any chance? I REALLY miss those and would almost consider moving over by you if I could grow my 'simmons...lol..are you being affected by the fires?
I could be wrong...
and.....
