I'm not bothering with fruit trees other than my Meyer which is in my small fenced in area...with my blueberries. I don't have room to plant fruit trees that would not be productive or the critters would eat. I'm doing strawberries in containers, likewise in my fenced "pig pen". I've not seen a variegated acanthus before. The new nursery in Brookings has variegated eucryphia and I was tempted, but I have some variegated items and maybe don't have room for that much 'splash'. Rebecca is trying to get him interested in bringing in the more unusual stuff...we'll see.

The only fruit trees I really miss are my persimmons and avocados....sigh..
