Recently, I left a comment on this photo that I do not think is a Clematis virginiana.
The thread "Not Clematis Virginiana?" in Photo of Sweet Autumn Clematis (Clematis terniflora)

The owner of the photo has not responded. I just do not feel comfortable in moving any one's images, would an administrator please do so, if they believe it is the wrong plant? These leaves do not have the toothed edges of the C. virginiana. Plantladylin in the reply believes it to be the C. terniflora.

I mentioned the next image in the post above, but here is the link to it. The leaves look to be smooth, as well.
