Debra, Thank you for the warning! Definitely do not want concrete in the garden!! The clay soil without amendment is about as hard as concrete.
Marilyn, the source I read did say coarse sand and your latest reply gives me even more details and help. We have a Lowe's store here. I don't do composting, have been using garden soil/potting mix mixture to amend. Thank you for the suggestions.
