Everything you say is true, but IMO, none of it justifies giving the same plant two names. I'm gonna hold out for one name for a plant. I just can't see why the correct registered name can't be used for marketing purposes. It just seems deceptive. I wouldn't like to spend money for a plant being sold under a different name only to find that it was a plant I was already growing or had grown.
