Today's Hen and Chicks of the Day is Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum arachnoideum 'Zilver Baby') .

This is such a wonderful small arachnoideum type of sempervivum. It grows very dense colonies of heavily webbed rosettes. It can sometimes be difficult to get them going, but once established they are very tough plants. They benefit from some shelter during the hottest part of the day. The webbing is more intense in the heat of summer.
