Why not Black Oak, Quercus velutina? It has spines on the tips of the leaf lobes and the bark seems to match.

The link Lin gave for Q. texana, Texas Red Oak is called Nuttall oak elsewhere, the bark doesn't look right.

There's also Northern Red Oak, Quercus rubra .. bark doesn't look correct on that either.
