tarev, Congratulations on the soon to be carnosa bloom! H. carnosa always seems to bloom in summer here, probably because of the high heat and humidity. Y'all have hot and dry out west and we have hot and very humid here. Our heat indexes have been in the triple digits this summer and it's so miserably humid that if you're outside for five minutes you are soaking wet as though your standing out in the rain! I'm sooo ready for cooler temperatures but unfortunately cooler is still over a month away for us. I just checked our little weather station which shows the current outdoor temperature at 94ยบ F. The sensor is located on the screened porch, on the east side of the house with two ceiling fans on high!! I truly think I'd love living in Alaska during the summer.
