I really did not enjoy this "tip of the week" from Jennifer Smith, Horticulture Magazine.

It is unbelievable that such a "tip" would be published by a major magazine. Annuals are annual! There was no mention of tender perennials that are sometimes treated like annuals. I wonder how many readers will actually try to over winter an actual annual:)
