In 2011 we added lots of new plants do our first big year in hybridizing.
Ashton was out at the crack of dawn every morning making thousands of crosses.
Unfortunately on May 24th, the temp hit 97 degrees, that was the coolest day we had until mid September.
We had 63 days over 100 degrees.
In our garden, not one single daylily bloomed in July.
Almost every pod cooked off, the ones that didn't, had no good seed.
We were prepared to plant hundreds of seedlings that year.
So to save our year,we turned to the LA.

That's my story.
