Here in Northwest Missouri, I observed 6 Instar 4/5 Monarch Cats today on a fennel plant at a local museum. All of them were quite leththargic and none seemed to feed during the 10 + minutes I watched them. In fact, I am pretty sure that none of them moved. In the past 5 days or so we have had lower 60s highs and lows in lower 40s.

I am still learning, so bear with me. It is sposed to warm up starting today and hit ~ 80 by Thursday and then drop back to upper 60s by Friday. Night lows in mid 50s. 10 day forecast looks pretty warm as well.

Will these little guys likely die before making chrysalis or in that stage? TIA
