I've never had any problem with any sprouts coming up when I have used these and I've used them for years. In pots and under my hosta's. Just a little info. If anyone would like me to send you a box full, you pay the postage and send me your address I will be glad to pick up some and send them to you as long as they last. They should start falling soon and when you get the box you can see what the postage is and you can just send me the amount back
