I'm no expert, but I'm limiting my daylilies to mostly spiders and Unusual Forms which can be spiders as well. I don't discriminate between dips and tets, so I'm growng both. Some are hard to get seeds from, but others seem relatively easy. Tets seem more difficult than dips in that regard and when they do produce pods for me, those pods don't contain nearly as many seeds as pods obtained on the dips. I think some spiders and spider types are hard to set a pod on because of the length the pollen has to travel to make a connection Smiling . I've still got some dip seeds to give away from this year where both parents were spiders. You need to try. You never know. Something might work for you that hasn't for anyone else.
