In case you guys didn't know, the Audubon Society has an app for your phone. Seriously, who doesn't have an app these days? Anyway, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, which is a couple hours south of me, is in a contest to win an iPad from the Audubon Society for their education center. I guess whichever Audubon Center gets the most people to download the app through their link wins. It seems like a pretty useful app for birders. And if it convinces you to help Corkscrew, they're the winter home of many Whooping Cranes. They were breeding last year for the first time in a few years because apparently we got just the right amount of rain at the right times. This year we've got an El Nino so I just assume everything is going to be wet and bad.
