There has been some comments about a palm and cycad thread so I thought I would start one to see if it got any traction. I have about an acre of property on a lake just northwest of Tampa, Florida. On this property I have collected about 27 different species of palms and 9 species of cycads. I keep looking for a place to stick another one.

I'll start out with my Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis) which sits in the center of my circular drive in front of the house. It has been there for 13 years now and has become ever more massive. Anyway, I just love it and it makes a statement as you view the house.
