Susan, those are so pretty!! The birdsnest varieties of Sans don't get real tall but as Planto explained, they spread and they take on that compound habit. Then there are some Sansevieria trifasciata cultivars like ('Laurentii') that do grow 3 to 4 feet in height. Those types grow in both shade and full sun here in Florida and can be aggressive to the point of being a nuisance plant.
