The end IS in sight. But I so hate Winter.

Today I finished moving stuff from here and there - primarily my "driveway", otherwise known as one of my many plant storage areas. And I got a LOT accomplished.

223 Trees and shrubs across about 5 dozen varieties were moved to their Winter storage area. These are 2 - 4 year old seedlings. Over Winter they are nestled against the North side of my house and covered with about a foot of chopped up leaves after a near final drenching. I cover them after our first hard freeze assuming a warming spell is not forecast,

In addition, I moved about 350 seedlings (or Fall sowed seeds) of about 100 species to the Winter Nursery area. This rather large area is a special bed I made a few years ago. Here I sink pots - trays stay on the surface. The whole thing is soaked well and will be covered in chopped leaves once we get beyond our first hard freeze.
